evaluation questions
Who would be the audience for your media product?
Our audience for the product we have made would mainly consist of teenagers over 14 years of age who recognise and maybe can relate to the urban drama we have created. Our film could appeal to anyone who has had a tough urban experience or have lived in a similar urban environment around their home or at school in their lifetime, probably for someone between the age of 14 and20. It could appeal to those interested in life-like situations in a young urban British environment. Because this film is similar to Adulthood, Shifty and Kidulthood, it is more likely to appeal to audience because of the similarities it shares.

How did you attract/address your audience?
In our opening sequence we used various elements which people can relate to within drama. We have used a fight scene which breaks straight into the whole concept of what may happen on a feature length version of our sequence. We used various camera shots to make it more ‘Hollywood’ and it was just supposed to be like a normal week in a person’s life. It was highly realistic to what the characters were wearing, how they reacted as well as acted and certain scenes with what was occurring. We used various music tracks well edited in to fit in with what was going on which are relevent to the the sequence.

Analysis and pictures of props and costumes
For the costumes of our characters we just dressed them in casual urban clothing of what they would normally wear to college to suit the whole storyline and concept of the film. We made sure they were wearing the same thing for the scenes which were supposed to be set on the same day.
We also used some props in our sequence such as a bag to show that it was set in college, a mobile phone for a scene where both characters are supposed to be having a conversation to each other on the phone.

Evaluation of Filming Process for our Main Task
For our main task we had several weeks to complete around 2 minutes worth of filming for our main task. We started off looking around nearby the college for a suitable location to film certain shots for our film sequence. We couldnt really find a public area suitable enough for filming due to lightning difficulties, and lack of privacy from the public. We then decided to film our sequence within our college itself as its location could still fit in with the plot of the short film. We analysed many different areas of the college to find the best suitable locations for different scenes. We found excellent locations for most of the scenes, although at times there was some small difficulties with availability, privacy, space and lighting/sound. We managed to solve these problems and get on with filming the sequence. After a couple of weeks we finished filming after numerous changes and are now in the process of finalising the editing of our film.
